Dear Members and Colleagues
You may be aware, as per our constitution, that we are required to have an annual general meeting to amongst others, report, and review on the associations activities of the past year.
To encourage local attendance of the ISPO congress that took place in May of this year, a decision by the Exco was taken to waiver a national event for 2017. However, the importance of having a get together to discuss trends and challenges cannot and should not be under estimated.
In view, thereof a two-day seminar will be presented at the Birchwood Conference Centre in Johannesburg. The aim is to encourage dialogue and discussion and most of the presentations will be followed by a panel discussion to enable delegates an opportunity to part take and share their views. The preliminary program includes the coding and categorization proposal, Medical scheme queries and practice billing profiling, NHI update as well as sessions with practical demonstrations.
With our supplier partners in mind, a session about Medicines Control Council (MCC) licensing requirements and the Medical Device Code of Ethical Marketing and Business Practice as developed by SAMED will be included in the program.
The AGM’s of both SAOPA and ISPO SA will complete the program. Most of the sessions will enable you to accumulate a significant number of ethical CPD’s.
Please be on the lookout for additional information to follow shortly.
